Let Go and Let God
I was afraid at first because I thought, “what would life be on the other side?”
They said to get a sponser who knew how to drive, because I already had a DWI.
I hesitated and didn’t get in; I hung onto to bumper and went along for the ride; although, I really did not know why.
Well, needless to say, I fell by the way and it hurt me alot but it was more my pride.
I fell real hard and I felt real bad, I even started to cry; so ashamed, I wanted to hide.
They said, “don’t cry , you just had a great fall, starting over is just around the bend.”
So, I got in this time and, went along for the ride.
Winding through mountains and cliffs so high!
I laughed, and I cried, I didn’t know if I’d make it at times.
They said, “it’s ok just take it slow you only have one more mile to go.
So, I let go and let God take the wheel and joined the road to recovery.
Thanks ya’ll for riding along with me.
