This evening we went for a bike ride.
I was beckoned by a lovely train that was passing.
I got off my bike and walked slowly towards the train and watched it disappear into the sunset.
I felt as though I was an innocent child again. I decided to walk on the tracks in reminiscence of my childhood when a walk on the railroad took all my troubles away.
We started walking and it felt as though I was tapping upon piano keys. I could almost hear the melody of their great history along with my nostalgic experiences as a child.
With a gentle breeze caressing my face as I danced along, it felt absolutely amazing and greatly peaceful.
My memories as a child includes my brother Joe and I. We would wait on the tracks patiently for the train to come so we could watch the colorful box cars pass and receive a wave, and a smile from the conductor on the caboose.
He left us with a feeling that not only were we alright, but the entire world was alright and a peaceful place to live.
My love of trains is a therapeutic melody to my soul, and a healing for my spirit. I must admit that I believe I fell in love with locomotives as a child and we will be in love till the day i die.
Once again love wins.

Are so damn mean
They never listen just sit and scheme
I try to express what’s in my heart
Sarcastic glares with eyes unseen
When night comes and I’m fast asleep
They sneek in and peer inside my dreams
Awakened by their sinister stares
I scream…!
“What are you doing in my dreams?”
They run with grins back on their walls
Oh I tell you true their day will come I’ll
Wash them clean right off the halls
Wallflowers are so damn mean
or so it seems…

“Don’t ask.”
For some strange unknown reason I have had this magnetic attraction to mechanical gadgets.
I passed this garage today and I had to stop to snap a few. I see their beauty and uniqueness.
Art is in the eye of the beholder! 🙂

“allow them to take failure not as a measure of their worth but as a chance for a new start.”
(Wizard of Oz)
Sometimes we think because we failed miserably in our past that starting over is an impossibility.
We think that it’s hopeless for our families, friends, business associates, or neighbors to forgive our mishaps; however, the key for successfully starting over does not depend on the ability of others to forgive us, but on our ability to forgive ourselves.
Without forgiveness of our past mistakes there can be no future of tolerance of ourselves, or for others.
Remember being taught in Sunday school as a child, “Love thy neighbor as thyself?”
If we don’t love ourselves it’s an impossibility to love others. Forgiveness comes before love. Once we can forgive ourselves, we can love ourselves. Then, and only then can we share our love with others, regardless of how they respond.
Once we internalize this, we can slowly and gently start to love ourselves once again, or maybe for the first time.
We can completely make a new start.
A confirmation through my own life experiences is proof for me that we can absolutely rid ourselves of past guilt that had once been the keeper of our souls.
[Dawna Bowles ( C ) 07/14]
“I am who I am because of my past not in spite of it.”
“I give up all hope of having a better past.”
“We keep on deceiving ourselves in regard to our faults, until we at last come to look upon them as virtues.

I closed my eyes so I could see
The hidden lies inside of me
With racing thoughts and troubled mind
The two collided left me blind
I searched for truth of my soul
A vampire of my heart foretold
Denial raped what I did find
I tried to say how I feel but
Sarcasm detested it’s not real
I have desire of willingness
To free my life of the abyss
A certainty of endless love
A promise to my raven dove

the way love used to be…
visionless they wandered
Far beyond the sea
The desert has no lighthouse
How were they to see
Swallowed by deficiencies of their souls
Silent screams in a
Starless night or so it seemed
Without a struggle or fight
They absorb light
Without reflecting any rays
Lacking in hue and brightness
Ebony and ivory vanished in their day
Their melody stopped for
It was the end of their song…

Hi would you like to play
I know I am different
But is that okay?
I have been standing here
For a many long days
Equality is the only way
I want to learn about your likes
So I can be a part of your life
I see you running and playing tag
It makes me happy
I wish I could play
See my smile it is just like yours
I have a heart but
Sometimes it hurts
I want to be included in
I won’t give up no not I
I will be waiting
With my big grin
Equality for light poles…
Don’t*cha know?

In night rails of steel
Warm vibrations sooth
Rhythmatic poetry in motion
Persistence is her song
Her whistle makes my heart long
A seduction to my soul
Loco she drives and motives…
I have come to know them so well
She is the alpha of my dreams
Yet another omega in screams
She has Vanished without a kiss
Fading in the night
Your tracks are always so devine
Oh my locomotive you must know
You completely blow my mind

We are the world
We are the people
We are the voice
We are the peace
We are the love
Let us all rise above
Above the hate
Above the fear
Above the wars
Removing all
The wasted years
We hold the power
Let us all rejoice
We are the music
We are the voice
Awake my brothers
My sisters too
From nations far
A renaissance of love is ours
We are one family
Beneath the stars
Tonight’s celebration
The choice is ours…

Like a soul without radiance.
As a heartbeat without rhythm.
A violin absent of its bow.
A visionary with hollow eyes.
His dream apparently has died.
Comparisons of contrast as, brass resounding in the wind.
Is a nuisance of its tone.
Incongruity is the equal of its sum.
Resonance of harmony, is of course an impossibility.
As a conductor of a symphony directs with amputated arms.
So is a society blinded by demise.
Humanity is hopeless, filling rivers with her cries.
As history repeats a babylonian fall.
A Holocaust of America.
Will be remembered in her majesty.
Only as a “pop” on every Facebook wall.

Hi thanks for stopping by
I get lonesone in the sky
You took my picture that’s nice
I just wondered why
Would you like to be with me
Tonight we could light up this dark sky
I think you love me and I cant figure
Out the reason why
You must love every atom
In our universe that’s fly…

Candice you’re so precious…
The most talented girl in the world
I know you are blind to your beauty
Only if you could see yourself through my eyes…
Do not bury your talents they exceed all the best
The world was never created for anyone as beautiful as you.
May you stay forever young.
Forever Young”
May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.
May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.
May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
And may your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young.

I used to know but things have changed
In years of long ago I thought I knew
They have taken all our rights away
Refused the poor now they must pay
Babylon you scarlet fool
You sold us out for monetary gain
Politicians America’s shame
Go ahead devise your schemas
You’ll never take our truth or dreams
Nor
Our
Peace
&
Love
In
The
End
We’ll
Rise
Above
Once
Again
You’ll
See
Love
Will
Win

One Saturday afternoon I was out for a drive and I noticed this abandoned old house. I felt compelled to pull into the driveway. I got out of the car to photograph the uniqueness of the silhouetted old house againest the lovely landscape.
I noticed among the ruins a cheerful wild bush of scarlet flowers.
A melancholy of beauty consumed me.
My heart smiled as I observed their loveliness.
The flowers smiled back at me with a shyness, for they hadn’t been adored by a human in over a decade.
Suddenly I felt a profound love pouring from the structure. A drop of water fell from the roof and hit my shoulder; I realized it was a tear. The house was weeping. I looked up and the house looked into my soul.
There was a moment of silence, then the house said,
“I used to be as lovely as the scarlet flowers.”
I felt as though I was frozen in a moment of time, when the broken house thought his eyes would never meet mine.
Our eyes met we knew all to well
Entropy has no prejudice just ageing collide, yet he knew at that moment
I loved him inside, and even more for his stories untold.
Once again, love wins.

Today is a beautiful day for me
It’s the first time I had my
Hair done you see
My hairstylist says that
My hair looks cool
Her smile how it set me free
She used a blow dryer
And other tools
She said that I am lovely and it shows
No more tangles for me you know
My hair blows softly in the wind
I feel so beautiful for the first time
Do you think that vanity is a crime…

These videos brought to us by way of, Rethinking Life, are a must see!
Information we all need in order to change our world. It’s positive, truthful, and educational! Not the education we were raised in, but a perspective through an artisans point of view. A freedom of thought, action and renewed hope!
[Rethinking life out side of the box]“No pun intended, Rethinking Life.”

This is an excellent talk about “How schools kill creativity.” He’s so funny and brilliant. Take a few mints to check him out. I think he is one of the most, if not THE most, watched speakers on TED. I love him. 🙂

He has other talks as well. He is on the cutting edge of education and if you think sending your kids to college will get them where they want to go you need to listen to this lecture.
Even if you take two steps forward and one step back. You are still moving forward. Happiness is not a destiny but a form of travel. We must give up all hope of having a better past. We are powerless over yesterday’s mishaps, and we can’t control tomorrow, for it’s not here yet. The only thing we have power over is today and ourselves.
We can’t change people, places, or things. We can only change ourselves and our perspectives.
Look for the good and it gets better, look for the bad and it gets worse.
We can’t control the wind, but we can adjust our sails. If we just do the next right thing we’ll conquer today. We all only have today. Today is a gift that’s why they call it the present.
(L.W)
Stay in today and never look back.
